The Product Analyst on the product management team at Eka, will be part of a high functioning, dynamic team critical to the success of our Commodity and Energy Trading and Risk Management product strategy. The person in this role will be responsible for translating product strategy and market requirements into world class products working with customers, product development, internal clients and project teams at Eka. As an internal product manager, s/he will be responsible for translating market requirements into product features based on product roadmap and writing functional specifications and working on UI design working with cross-functional teams in product management, development, documentation, QA and consulting for successful product release.

• 5 years of experience as a product analyst/business analysts with IT systems or business analysis experience, preferably encompassing products released to external customers;
• Knowledge of the commodities and energy business and derivatives (futures and options) would be an added advantage;
• Experience in implementation of enterprise/web based business applications desirable;

• Knowledge of the commodities and energy business and derivatives is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of web technology (preferably J2EE) and Oracle EBS/SAP applications.
• Knowledge of N-Tier Architecture, Design patterns, Object Oriented Design and Modeling
• Strong project management, communication and presentation skills.

• Break down high-level business/user requirements into functional product design for product development, QA and documentation;.
• Write functional requirements documentation, including use cases, usability information, workflows, etc for product implementation based on market requirements.
• Lead the design reviews and the sign-off process to ensure that the requirements are interpreted and fulfilled correctly by product development, QA and documentation.
• Lead the release management process (requirements verification, QA, documentation), ensuring that solution requirements are met.
• Conduct industry/market research, competitive analysis and create white papers and competitive analysis guides.
• Working with sales and marketing teams to develop marketing and sales collateral.

As the Engineering Manager, the candidate would have direct responsibility for leading the complete development and advancement of one or more of the company’s flagship product lines. He would be reporting to the head of engineering.

• Overall 10 years of relevant IT experience with 4 years of progressive responsibility for enterprise software development and management.
• Architect / Senior Architect with top tier Software Product Organizations with a focus on ERP/SCM/Financial Solutions.
• Minimum of 4 years managing teams in an internet/Java/J2EE environment
• Must have a proven track record of delivering large-scale, highly available systems and quality software products or components;
• Must be experienced at leading development life cycle process and best practices, significant hiring and mentoring in a technical organization;
• Must have demonstrated excellent communications skills.
• Demonstrated hands on ability in architecture, design and development of scalable, complex Java / J2EE software products
• Expert knowledge of latest architecture frameworks and design patterns with demonstrated technical leadership in engineering, design and deployment of products and applications employing enterprise architectures
• Excellent trouble-shooting, debugging, research, and problem solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function in a multi-cultural environment is a must.
• Knowledge and experience in Commodity Trading / Financial / Risk Management products will be an added advantage.

• N-Tier Architecture, design patterns, Object Oriented Design and Modeling (UML).
• Java, J2EE (Servlets, JSP, EJB, XML), Struts Framework, MVC architecture, Browser based technologies (CSS, JavaScript etc).
• Development of complex business processing systems using various software and hardware platforms deploying object oriented techniques using, , Application Servers, JMS, JDBC, Open Source tools .
• Expertise in relational databases like Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, specifically writing complex SQL statements and stored procedures
• Developing unit testing with JUnit Framework
• Good knowledge of Eclipse, Ant, SML, Javadoc, JUnit
• Excellent people management, task management, hiring and delivery skills

• Overall Management and delivery of world class Software products. Implement enterprise software product architecture and technology stack for scalable and configurable product engineering / design
• Review current Product Architecture/methodology and lead implementation of new architectures based on latest technologies.
• Manage development teams to strictly adhere to architecture / design standards and use iterative processes for software development
• Provide training/instruction and mentoring to junior associates.
• Work with Product Management and Implementation teams to deliver Product releases in line with Product road map
• People Management, hiring and training of development teams

The Java Architect will Lead the enterprise architecture team and produce world class software product architecture and roadmap for enterprise.

Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Electronics, Masters Level and (or) PhD can be an added advantage.

B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science from Premier Institutions only. Minimum cut-off percentage is 60 %
