The Eka CTRM solution is fully configured to meet the needs of the metal scrap and recycling industry. The solution covers the complete life cycle of both physical and financial commodity contracts, covering physical trading, derivatives, position management, mark to market and PnL, logistics, stocks, documentation, finance and reporting. In addition, it easily integrates with your other applications (accounting, ERP, live feeds, master data, etc), thereby creating the ideal real-time solution for your company.
Whether you deal with ferrous or non-ferrous scrap, as a recycler, trader, generator or end user, the solution allows you to manage the complete supply chain of your scrap products, covering physical contracts, distribution, futures and options and tolling.
You can create as many grades and sub grades as you like, enter both purchase and sales contracts, and view open positions. The complete distribution systems, local or export, can be monitored and managed with Eka’s highly comprehensive logistics and stock management features. The solution covers multi-modal transportation using trucks, railroad, barge, containers or vessels. In addition to tracking shipments, substantial support is provided for receipt and issue of material, giving you the ability to track and update weights. You can capture various execution costs both incurred as well as accrued, ensuring that you always have an accurate value for your cost of goods.
Given the volatility in the metals market, EKA fully supports futures and options on various exchanges, including the LME and Comex, allowing organizations to manage price risks and exposures with more effectiveness.
The Tolling functionality allows you to mark contracts for tolling, set recovery ratios and record output parameters including shape, weight and expected price – giving you the facility to track pre-set parameters for specific contracts/clients and analyze performance based on the actual assaying results.
EKA’s CTRM solution has been deployed successfully by global trading and processing organizations, helping them to effectively manage risks while bringing operational efficiency in day-to-day operations.
